Alex Vollmer is a lifelong resident and active community member of San Antonio. His educational journey began at Christ Lutheran Pre-Kindergarten, directly across from Alamo Heights High School, where he later graduated in 1999.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature in 2006 and went on to attend St. Mary’s University School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor in 2010.

While in law school, Alex competed in Moot Court and became a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. He also attended the Institute on World Legal Problems summer program at the University of Innsbruck in Austria, where he studied subjects including Just War Theory, International Commerce, and the history of United States Supreme Court Justices.

After admission to the Texas Bar, Alex began his legal career at the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office as a criminal trial prosecutor. During that time, he conducted more than fifty jury trials, sharpening the ability to think, act, and analyze efficiently before a wide range of judges and courtroom settings.Alex later opened his own practice and continued to draw on that experience while representing clients across Texas. In 2012, he was admitted to the Western District of Texas United States Court.

Alex enjoys golfing, hunting, reading, and taking road trips with his wife. He remains an avid reader and an active member of the San Antonio community. Alex and his family spend time working with charitable foundations and professional organizations.
